Making an illegal left turn in NYC, sec 1212 moving violation.

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

Got a ticket for making an illegal left turn on 6th ave last night. How much are fines usually and is this going to affect my license as far as points are concerned? This is the first moving violation ticket I've gotten in NY, I've had a parking ticket before and it was paid.

Most likely 3 points. If the ticket was issued by the Traffic Violations Bureau you can pay it online at the DMV website (it will say Traffic Violations Bureau down near the bottom of the ticket) or you can mail it in if you don't delay. Isn't the fine/fee listed on the ticket?

No, there is no option to pay nor is there an amount for the cost of the ticket. I got a court date for august, maybe because it happened in manhattan...
I have no idea what the possible cost is. My worry is about getting the point. Do you suggest I get a lawyer?
