MD licensed, Speeding ticket in NY - FAILURE TO COMPLY?What is the name of your state? MD/NY? I am licensed in MD; was ticketted for speeding (with the flow of traffic) at 80mph in a 65mph zone near Syracuse, NY. I pleaded not guilty by mail and have been offered a change from Sec. 1180d "Speeding" to Sec. 1102 "Failure to Comply", if I plead guilty. If I still plead not guilty, it means a court hearing 300 miles away. What does "Sec. 1102: Failure To Comply" mean? And does this go on my record? ![]() |

| qcxlvr1: Points don't transfer from NY to MD but my record will show a violation. "Failure to comply" sounds more serious than "Speeding" but the points assessed are 2 against 4 respectively. |
