What is the name of your state? Louisiana/ Tennessee

I'm from New Orleans, La and I'm currently living in Tennessee. I have a mark on my driving record where it was suspended a few months ago. If I get Tennessee drivers license will that follow me? My insurance rates jump up b/c of it and I'm trying to find a way to get it off. It wasn't a conviction so I can't have it expunged. Any advice?
