Hey there, I'm looking for a bit of advice.

This morning I was pulled over and given a ticket for failure to yield right of way. It was a bit subjective as I thought I was across the intersection in enough time. Cop didn't think so. Oh well.

Two questions:
1) I was pulled over by a state trooper. What would be the likelihood of him showing up in court at the appointed time if I choose to deny the ticket?

2) Is there a deferment availble? I'm not as concerned about the ticket as I am about the insurance costs. I'd rather pay $200 now for a deferment than $150 for a ticket and $600 more on insurance over the next few years.

Thanks!
