Munincipalities collecting through Finance Company

What is the name of your state? GA and MS

2 years ago my daughter rec'd a speeding ticket (1-10) from the Pearl River MS police...15 to 20 mph over the limit as I recall. I found this out via a letter from the court to her to pay $98.

I asked her to write the court explaining that she was a college student without funds, without a job, and in addition offer to pay this off at $10 a month or defer it until she graduated in 3 or 4 years.

A letter from a Finance Co.,(with envelope sender 'Pearl River Justice'), is mandating $359, or 'sue, levy, garnish'.

Best course of action...other than paying $359...My daughter begins her junior year in a few days, and will not be working during the school year.
