need help with a revoked license

please help. my husband had 2 speeding tickets in north carolina when he was in the army there. he didnt take care of the tickets. now he is out of the service and we live in louisiana. the problem now is that his license is revoked and to be able to get a louisiana state drivers license he must clear up the problem in north carolina. the problem with that is it is impossible for him to travel to north carolina. what other options do we have? can any of this be taken care of through the mail? what about a lawyer? please any advice would be helpful thank you
