What the ticket cost him may not be an issue anyway. If you get cited and fix it, it's $25. If you do not fix it, it is more ad can one day result in a misdemeanor criminal complaint and even jail time if not complied with.

In short, if the light itself is not visible, you should be okay. But, I understand some jurisdictions still cite for this even if the light is not directly visible so you might want to check what your local gendarme do.

And, if you wish to continue this further, please start your own thread as mentioned earlier. Necroposting is considered bad form in any forum.
