Never signed the ticket/citation

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

On the Pennsylvania speeding ticket citation, there is a line that reads "Defendant's Signature - Acknowledges Receipt of Citation".

If the officer fails to get your signature (on the citation), does this invalidate the citation? For instance, if the officer merely printed "Handed to Driver" in the area where the driver was supposed to sign.

PA does not require signatures on traffic tickets.

This is also true of the other states that have this on their tickets with the exception of Texas. In Texas you are required to sign or take a trip to jail.

If you could get out of a ticket by not signing then they would never be able to issue any tickets.

The officer will simply testify in court that he handed you a copy.
