What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

If I get a ticket for VTL 1110A (failure to obey a traffic control device, 2 points) in New York state but have a California drivers license, can I expect CA to pick up on it and what would it translate to?

<fingers crossed for no points>

Also, I assume that the 3 year time for tickets to fall off a record starts when the alleged incident takes place, not after conviction. Right?

No, 18 months in New York (from violation date).

This is a minor moving violation. why are you so hung up on this?
