NJ - Failure to Stop or Yield - Error on Ticket.

New Jersey -

Hello all,

I am just checking if I have any legal weight to have this ticket thrown out in court by the judge. I went to pay the ticket online at www.njmcdirect.com but received a notice that a court appearance was required. On the ticket the officer wrote a date and time for "Notice to Appear" but did not check the box marked in red "Court Appearance Required". I have a print out of the website denying me online payment, requiring me to call my local municipal office. I was told over the phone an error was made by the "entry" dept. but the officer also made an error on this ticket. I have a print out of the same ticket request after it was changed by the phone operator stating i can make payment for the ammount of $85.00 and eat 2 points.

If I have no weight in getting this ticket thrown out completely, is it worth fighting it down to an "unsafe driver" entry on my record? I was told recently that any entry is grounds for surcharge, is this true? I am insured by AAA.

THank you for your time,
JB
