Nj Speeding Ticket Court Results!!!

What is the name of your state? NJ

this is in reference to my 4-point 18 mph over ticket.

i am 19, clean record, driving a BMW suv.

I went in early, spoke with the prosecutor and he agreed to drop it to a 4-97.2, which is inattentive driving. It carries no points until the 3rd time you do within 5 years (at which point u get ROCKED by points and fines)...

So. heres the funny part. My ticket was 105 dollars (fees from the back of it)

my surcharge is 250 for taking a 4-97.2

TOTAL COSTS: 485

I GOT ROBBED???? its worth not havin 4 points but 500 bills for this?

Yep, you wanted reduced points, you got them.

Did you have a LEGAL question in there somewhere???

You thought they were going to reduce the points AND reduce the fine, why do you think they have that little code? at least you can use it more than once before you learn a lesson.

Actually, you did well. A 4 pt ticket would have more than doubled your insurance for at least three years so you ended up OK in the long run.
