on tuesday i was pulled over with no car insurance.i was written a court date for sept.I have read and re read the law reguarding this.1st time offenses are discretionary to the judge,2nd offenses carry mandatory penalties. Now i was pulled over roughly 10 yrs ago for the same thing. The law had just passed and when i appeared in court I had car insurance and it was dropped. My question is,would this be a 2nd offense?or has sufficient time passed where this could be considered a 1st offense?Does anyone know how long offenses stay on driving records? If the 1st time is still on my record even t hough i wasnt fined for it,can i get this exponged? |
