No Insurance etc. What is the name of your state? Colorado my gf was pulled over around two years ago had no insurance, and was ticketed. her car was impounded and a warrant was issued for her arrest after not paying the fine on the ticket. she was an out of state resident at the time, but is now a colorado resident and trying to get a colorado state drivers license. the ticket still has not been paid, nor has she been arrested. just wondering if there was a statute of limitations that would prevent her from being prosecuted, or is the fine would still be assessed with increases for late paymentas well as any jail-time. thank you |

| " just wondering if there was a statute of limitations that would prevent her from being prosecuted," No "or is the fine would still be assessed with increases for late paymentas well as any jail-time." Yes If she gets stopped they will probably keep her. However in our wonderous world of DMV land anything is possible and they may not have posted the bench warrant. Have her call the DMV in the state she is licensed to see if anything is on the record. Then do the same in Colorado. I would not want to be driving around having to worry about this. She should contact the court and find out the status and make arangements to pay the fine. Hopefully that is all that it wil be. ![]() |
