i was waiting to make a left turn no realizing i could not do so. across the street in a parking lot there were 2 nassau county (ny) cops apparently watching me. they put the lights on and signal to come through. i did and was then pulled over and was ticketed for making the left turn. i honestly do not know there were signs there until the officer indicated that there. my point is though, i though the police is there to prevent and protect. i know they saw me waiting to make the turn. i would expect them to at least inform me over their radio that i cannot make a left turn. if you were a police officer, would watch someone commit an offense then arrest him or would prevent the offense from happening? isn't the police there to serve the community? to make matters worse, this was the first time i was driving in that town. This happened in valley stream, new york - nassau county. |
