| No, if the ticket does not say what law you violated, you cannot reasonably be expected to prepare a defense. Be sure to check the statement of facts the officer wrote, though. | Check to be sure that the code section is not listed. Sometimes there are two blanks. One for the code section and one for comments. For example, he may cite the code section in one blank and then write 75/65 in the other. If a code section is listed then the ticket is valid. However if the officer doesn't remember exactly what the citaton was for then you have an excellent chance of getting it dismissed. |
