What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

I was driving through N.C. yesterday on 85N. I got a speeding ticket for doing 87 in a 65 in Rowan county. I'm 32 years old and I haven't gotten a ticket since I was 16 therefore I am COMPLETELY lost as to what I should do. I have a lot of questions. I hope someone has some advice.

1) What does G.S. 20-141(J1) stand for?
2) What do the "R" and "S" mean under "Speed" where it says R 87 S?
3) I do have a court date. Do I need to get a lawyer? Would I have a better outcome if I do have a lawyer?
4) Is this considered reckless driving?
5) Is it a misdemeanor?
6) Are these cases EVER dropped?
7) What is the punishment for this?

Basically.... what is going to happen to me???? Someone please help me!!!!

Thank you so much for any help or advice anyone can give me!
