Question

Not Guilty of Reckless Driving ??

What is the name of your state? Virginia
A girl hit my son runing 75+ and he was sitting still. She hit him head on. He was flown to the hospital and only received minor injuries. When she hit him she flipped and went 500 feet, hit a house and knocked 3 bricks off the house. She was charged with Reckless driving. We wasn't informed of her hearing. I found out about it on the net. We had witnesses. We decided to go and just see what was going on. They let her go. The judge said to let the insurance companies fight it out. She had a lawyer. Now her insurance company will not pay our son's medical bills. The accident report says that she was running 75 and he was running 0 but in a column on the side it has her as driving in excessive speed and him with not having the right away. He was waiting for a car to come out of a driveway and needed to turn left. When she hit him his car came to rest with his driver tire on the yellow lines. His front fender was cut off and her driver door and down the side was damaged. There is a very bad hill that you can't see over. So he never saw her coming and she never saw him until she hit him. First of all how did she get away with reckless driving? The judge never asked how fast she was going but did ask how long the skid marks were. Her computer in her car was too damaged to find out exactly how fast she was going. But the judge never got to hear the witnesses tell what they saw or nothing. He just let her go. Each year all of our insurances go up. And if I am out here running 75 and a cop stops me then I will get a ticket for speeding. But I can cause a accident like this and get a lawyer and go free without my insurance going up. What crazy world is this??
