| Last week I was pulled over for speeding, bad enough but it wasn't my car and come to find out, the car did not have insurance, and expired inspection. My truck was having the engine replaced and my brother let me use his spare car. Well the ticket for no insurance is $301 but the court is adding an additional $99 for an insurance ticket back in 1986. Why am I being charged for insurance and it isn't even my car, plus, why add something from 14 years ago. This happened is Dallas county. Needless to say, I'm pretty upset with my brother. Thank you. |

| I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship. As to thing 14 years ago.....you can probably get that dismissed. It shouldn't attach to you anyway. As to the tickets you received, ask your brother to repay you or take him to court. BUT....you have the absolute responsibility that you make sure you are insured, the car you use is insured, etc. Get it? |
