| | | Not paying out of state tickets What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania
Hi. I got a ticket about a month ago in Richmond, Virginia (Henrico County Trooper) for speeding. I was doing 79 in a 65. This is my first traffic violation. I am curious if it will show up on my PA drivers license, if I will get points, and if my insurance will go up. Also, what happens if I don't pay it. Will a warrant be out for me in PA or just VA? I can just avoid VA for the rest of my life if it saves me a couple hundred Also, does anyone know if it is possible to get out of a speeding ticket if I go to the court date and just look real innocent, show the judge a copy of my perfect driving record, and explain how I can't pay higher insurance or does there need to be some material evidence stating that I wasn't actually speeding.
Thank you very much! |

| VA will issue the warrant, you can be held because of the warrant is all 50 states. Quote: |

| In your dreams. The judge does not care about your insurance, driving record, or financial situation. The officer will present more than enough evidence. You have options such as driving school if available, deferred prosecution or negotiate a lesser charge. A talk with an attorney would be a good place to start.

| | | PA is one of the few states that will not post an out of state violation to your record. However, if you do not pay the ticket PA will suspend your license. Get too many tickets in VA and VA can suspend your right to drive in their state. |

| | | That cop did you a VERY big favor by only writing you up for 79. If it had been 80, it would have been Reckless Driving which is very serious and a mandatory appearance in most counties. | |
