| | | NY unlawful speedometer? What is the name of your state? NY
i recently (yesterday) got pulled over for going 77 in a 55, and told the officer my speedometer didn't work, which it doesn't. he told me he believed me, and gave me a ticket for unlawful speedometer.
I take it this ticket is no points non moving?
and how easy will this ticket be to get rid of, or what is the fine? |

Officer first said I was speeding then admittted I was right, but wrote unlawful speedometer instead.
I am due in court Monday with a clean record.
Any advice on fighting this? |

| | Firstly, you should start your own thread instead of posting your question on a thread over a year old. Secondly, the only way to beat an unlawful speedometer ticket is to prove that your speedometer is lawful. |

| | | Have a shop fix the speedometer and bring a receipt to court with you.
