NYS Traffic Violations Bureau

What is the name of your state? New York

I received a ticket in Rochester NY, returnable to the Traffic Violation Bureau in that City. It stated on the ticket that if I plead not guilty I would have a hearing, but if found guilty the fine would be higher.

I am not familiar with these procedures at all-- is there really no possiblity for a reduction? Am I better off just pleading guilty by mail?

Any help would be appreciated, I know they have the same procedures in Buffalo, NYC and Long Island.
