What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia

I was following the detour my GPS recommended to avoid traffic on I-95 and ended up getting a speeding ticket (50 in a 35) on a road on Quantico Marine Corps Base. I didn't remember seeing any speed limit signs, so I went back there the next day. All the signs were obstructed by overgrown trees and brush. I took pictures.

It was dark out and there were no other cars around when I got the ticket.

Do I have a chance fighting this ticket in court based on obstructed speed limit signs / inadequate road maintenance?

How should I go about fighting this in court?

Yes, you have a chance.

You go about it by pleading not guilty and getting your day in court.
