Question

off duty officer gave me a ticket????


a TN state patrollmen pulled me over for speeding. i told him i was on my way home from work. he said he got off at 11:00 pm also, the time was 11:42 pm. i then observed him pull into his driveway into his carport. do i have a chance to beat this ticket????

Troopers are not off duty until they sign out of service. Since Troopers have take home vehicles they sign out of service at their residence. This Trooper was on OT. You have a right to fight it, but this is not a valid excuse.
