Officer didn't write violation on citation

I am wondering if anyone can answer the following question I have about a citation I received. I was stopped for "running a red light", yet the citation doesn't have a violation on it. The officer just didn't write it down. I live Texas and the ticket was issued by the City of Rockwall...does anyone know if that is grounds for dismissal of the ticket? PLease help!! Thanks.
