What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california
are police officers legally aloud to sit on private property and use radar to catch speeders? and after residents of the property have petitioned the court house to stop officers from using the property as such.

if the owners of the property have a problem with it, all they have to do is walk up to the officer and tell him to leave their property. The police would be trespassing after that point.


if the residents are different from the owners, the amount of control the residents have over the property may or may not allow them the same power.


If the owner or person in control of the property does not have a problem with it, it is allowable and legal.
