Question

Out of state liscense in CA

What is the name of your state? CA

I was given a ticket for driving without a liscense even though my out of state liscense is valid and I don't live in the city I was stopped in and I was in the process of moving. What is the best defense I should use for driving in CA with an out of state liscense. I got a CA liscense the day after the ticket.

Have you lived in CA for more than 10 days? If so, the ticket is valid.

Penalties

What's the likely fines or penalties for this misdemeanor. I'm pleading not guilty so I should leave it at that since there isn't much of an argument.

Your response is suspicious. And, besides the accident that occurred in TX several years back, you appear to have lived in CA. However, you can get the fines, etc from the court. I'm not going to look them up for you.
