out of state speeding ticket

I live in Vermont, and I am 17 years old, going to turn 18 on August 22. ON July 4 I got a speeding ticket in New Hampshire doing 88/65. In Vermont I have a "junior operators lisence" which means i have a low limit of points on my lisence before it is revoked. I am wondering if I will get points on my lisence because it was out of state.
The cop who caught me was using a laser radar detector, and he said he clocked me going 88 mph, 1600 feet away. At that point he could not even see my car - i was driving on the interstate. How can he even prove it was me going that fast? I would like to contest this ticket, but i dont know if i have a chance.....
