What is the name of your state? Florida. My stepdaughter now lives in Wisconsin and has a valid driver's license up there. When she left FL, she had a citation for operating with suspended license. She never paid the fine in 2006. Accd'g to the court records that you can pull up online, it says there was a summons issued 10/06, then returned in 11/06 not executed (she's been in Wisconsin since Oct 2006). Next it has a defendent not present line - I'm guessing for a court date, then a capias ordered & issued, bond set at $1503.00. There's also a line that says there's an eWarrant. After 12/2006, there's no further activity on the court records.

How should she handle this? It's nearly impossible for her to get down here for a court date (she now has 2 young babies and struggles just to make ends meet up there). What will happen if she doesn't take care of it? And how can she take care of this from up there? Thank you for the advice.

There will be a warrant for her arrest until she takes care of this. She should show up in person to address the issue and turn herself in. She needs to make sure to bring enough money to post bail.

Here Wisconsin license will be suspended. If she is stopped they will take her to jail and contact Florida and hold her until they reply. Then she will have a DWS in Wisconsin.

another ?

She actually has been stopped for speeding twice in WI, and has paid those fines on a payment type schedule. No arrest or suspension in WI when she was stopped (which was a few months ago). Does this mean that they don't have the info up there from FL.

So my advice to her should be to make a trip down here to clear it up? Should she call first? Thank you so much for your help.

Also, how will she know how much $$ to bring for the bail? Is it the same as the $1503 bond? Thanks again.

They might take payment or they might require an appearance. Call the clerk and ask. If you explain the situation they may waive the appearance. Ask the clerk if they have sent a notice of suspension to the FL DMV. If so she will have to pay a reinstatement fee to them.
