Out of state ticket

What is the name of your state? UT

I recently moved to Utah and have a California license. This weekend I got a ticket in Nevada. How can I transfer the ticket to either CA or UT. In either of these states I can take traffic school and wipe out my ticket before it gets to my insurance. From what I have read on the internet, in NV the citation stays on your record and still goes to your insurance whether you have taken traffic school or not. My ticket is worth 8 points in NV and traffic school will only take away 3 points anyway. Can you please help me?

" My ticket is worth 8 points in NV"

Ouch! What did you do, rob the local donut shop?

There is no way to transfer the ticket before disposition. You will be charged and tried under the laws of Nevada. They will report the ticket, if you are found guilty, back to California and Ca. law will govern how many points are assessed.

Send me an email with the particulars of the citation and the code violation and I will try to help.

**A: based on the traffic code and simple math, you will still have 5 points left.
How fast were you going and what was the posted speed limit? 8 points is a lot.
When is your court date as there may be a way to plead to get a reduced charge and consequently a reduction on points.
