Out of state tickets

A year ago we were living in Texas. My husband was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt, even though he WAS wearing his seatbelt. (The whole time, not just when he saw the cop) Despite trying to explain this to the officer, he still got a ticket. We moved out of Texas the next day. (Not because of the ticket. ) DH was mad, and didn't pay the ticket. A year later, my husband has his drivers license in the new state where we live, far away from Texas. The ticket didn't show up as a problem when he got his new licence, but then he got stopped and got a whopping 3 tickets on his new license. He got a letter saying if he got any more tickets his license would be revoked, and our insurance of course went up. It listed his traffic violations, and this ticket was not on his record.

Here's the problem. We got a letter from a collection agency in Texas (they had our new address thanks to the post office) saying if we didn't pay the ticket he might be arrested. So we have a dilimna. If we pay the ticket that he got on his Texas licence, will it put more points on his new license, in which case his license would be suspended? Or are they just trying to scare us? We are 2000+ away from Texas. Would the really try to pursue this from across the country?

There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) pending in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.35M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

I know of someone who was pursued by collection agency across the country for a several year old pizza charge that wasn't get paid!!!! I suppose if the ticket doesn't get paid, it will show up as a bad mark on his credit report which can screw up most things in life

Texas can suspend his license to drive in Texas and notify your state which will probably also suspend his license. A seatbelt ticket will not add any points so pay it and avoid the hassle. Be sure to keep a copy of where it has been paid.
