PA Speeding Ticket Question

What is the name of your state? Pennsylvania

Would appreciate some advice here. I have not had a ticket for 5 years but somehow, in the space of 10 minutes, got two yesterday. I only say that for your amusement, as I am guilty as charged for the first offense which was a right turn where it was clearly noted no right turn. Total fine, $107.50. Fair enough. The guy said no points will be assessed - and charge code is 3362-A12, whatever that means.

I couldnt beleive it when a mere 10mins later I was pulled over in a different township. Malvern, PA. I saw the officer in a driveway and looked down at my speed which I estimated at ~33-35, and this was in a 25. He came after me and stopped me. When he gave me the citation it is for "At least 30 in a 25". Now I am quite sure that he is right. BUT - also on the ticket he has written in parens (47.5mph). No way jose. I have no idea how he "clocked me" as "other" is ticked on the citation. Here is the information as presented on the ticket.

51 Device Operator - SGLF
52 - Miles followed - blank
53- Miles timed - 0.021
54 - Secs timed - 1.6
55 - Speed Equip Serial - MB-2K

That is all that is written. Was this some kind of radar? How was my speed detected. Have I anyway out of this second ticket?

Thanks for any advice

SP

3362 is the speed limit section. Are you sure you got this number right? Anyhow $25+costs and no points sounds right.

My guess is your speed estimation is incorrect.
