I recently moved to VA and received a moving traffic violation for not stopping at a red light. Since I only recently moved to VA I only had a NYS licence and received the ticket on the same. I am now going to the VA DMV to get my licence for VA and was wondering if my points will transfer from my NY to VA licence for this offence. I do not have points on my NY licence before.
Also, I was wondering whether its worth contesting the ticket in VA rather than just pay it up so that it might be considered a non moving violation.
