Police Radar Detector Jamming?!?

What is the name of your state? Oklahoma

I got a ticket a couple days ago and my radar detector never went off. This is weird because it has always been extremely reliable and accurate. It better be for $350, lol. After reviewing the ticket, I noticed that the cop wrote down that he jammed the radar detector so that the driver wouldn't detect the police radar.

I know that some police agencies use radar detector DETECTORS, but I've never heard of radar detector JAMMERS. Please tell me this cop is just another one of the many, many cops that are crooked liars. Thanks,
GOMER

Scientifically, there is no way to "jam" a detector in the common meaning of the word (i.e. send out a radar signal but prevent the detector from alerting). You can, I suppose, "jam" it in the sense you can send multiple signals at it causing it to over-alert (although no recent detector has the problem and as you know, the V1 has the "bogey counter").

Either way, it's still not a valid defense for you to get out of the ticket with.

Gomer, check and see what was checked, laser or radar. Your detector might not alert on laser depending on where its mounted in your car. If in fact the officer did write down that info, go see an attorney.
