| | Presumed Speeds and Texas - HELP What is the name of your state? Texas
From what I understand Texas is a Presumed Speed state. How hard is it to prove reasonable a prudent when it is Midnight, clear conditions, no traffic,,unlimited visability, the speed limit is 45(On a major US Hwy, that is 6 lanes with no buildings for at least 50-100 feet off side of the road). I was said to have been doing 65 MPH. Do I have a chance with claiming my speed was reasonable and prudent? I am 17 and do not need this on my record. I also can not take Defensive Driving or Idefered adjudication due a prior wreck. If you need more info let me know.

| | | golaw,
I am not an attorney however I have had many speeding tickets in the state of Texas, most of which were in Dallas County and I had a really great attorney who took care of every single one. I frequently had to pay a significant amount of money but none of them went on my record. That was one of the great things about Texas, traffic attorneys. All states should have these, I paid that guy a fortune before I turned 21. | |
