Pulled Over By Westchester Dept. Of CorrectionsI was approx 1 mile out approaching Whitestone Bridge toll plaza in Queens NY governed by the TBTA-Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. Trying to merge/switch lanes with signal on left to get into cash lane on toll plaza. Westchester, NY dept. of corrections van comes in fast as I am trying to get over to the left preventing me from fully entering lane. I quickly return to my lane. He hits brakes creating a slight tire chirp. Westchester corrections van pulls up along side me and directs me to pull over after passing through toll plaza and gets assistance from TBTA police. Corrections dept. claims prisoners are in van and may have received injury as a result of above. My license and registration are demanded and then the Corrections officers leave. Was this a legal stop? No summons was issued.New York State Last edited by BATBEAR; 02-28-2008 at 10:36 AM. |

| What are the consequences of said stop? Seems to me...no harm, no foul.
