What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

I am fighting a speeding ticket. The speed limit sign that is posted directly before the officer lasered me does not meet the requirements in the CMUTCD. The CMUTCD is the specifications required and adopted by the CVC for all Traffic Control Devices.

My question is, after I prove to the court that this speed limit sign is invalid, I am going to ask for a motion to dismiss the ticket based on.....(???).

Insufficient evidence?
Unqualified circumstances?
Nullifying evidence?

I am just not sure what it is called when the surrounding environment is not legally constructed to warrant a proper stopping and issuing of a speeding ticket. Or should I say just that?

Thanks
~B
