Question

question regarding traffic school & VC 22349

What is the name of your state? CA

My ticket has VC 22349, and a speed of 85+ marked in a 65

I also noticed that under "correctable violation"..."no" is checked. Does this mean I cannot go to traffic school & have this ticket not counted against my record?? (no previous tickets on record)

CVC 22349. (a) Except as provided in Section 22356, no person may drive
a vehicle upon a highway at a speed greater than 65 miles per hour.

A "correctable violation" simply refers to a violation that may be corrected and then signed off by a peace officer, court officer, or DMV employee as being fixed. The corrected violation is then subject only to an administrative filing fee and not the usual fine. These are commonly referred to as "fix it tickets". They are things like burned out brake lights, cracked windshields, missing license plate, etc.

You are likely eligible for traffic school unless you have attended it within the last 18 months. The courthouse should have information on this for your area.
