R/D because of rear-end collision: VA

What is the name of your state? Virginia

What is the general sentence for being cited for R/D in Virginia if the result was rear-ending a vehicle stopped at a redlight. The accident report shows 35mph. The other driver was injured but not taken to the hospital and the total damage to the other vehicle was $3,900. Roads were wet but not raining and had clear visiability

Is it possible to plea/fight this?

Possible to fight? Yes, you can always fight. Whether or not you will be successful, however, seems doubtful. From what it sounds like, the only defense you have is the fact that the roads were wet. I'm afraid that is NOT a valid defense because it is YOUR responsibility to drive more slowly and increase following distances and whatnot during less than ideal conditions.

Possible to plea? That is actually your best bet at this point. Talk to the prosecutor.
