Radar in New Jersey

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NJ

Yesterday, my daughter was given a ticket for 52 in a 25 which thwe officer claimed he clocked on radar.

She was stopped at a light and says she never got out of second and in fact was coasting to a stop at the next light. She claims she never exceeded35 at most since it was a short block and the next llight has just turned red when her light turned green.

The officer was coming from the other direction, did a U-turn and pulled her over.

Question?
Are todays radars accurate when the police car is moving toward the target?

Is there a eay to demonstrate that there no possible way for her to achieve that speed given the traffic light situation and the short distance between lights.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help

Is there any relief in New Jersey for a driver with a totally clean record (no tickets or caused accidents in 5 years).

Yes. Much more accurate than your daughter's version.

No.

Yes. You can pay an extra 250 and it does not go on your record. Probably worth it considering the insurance.
