What is the name of your state? Virginia In Illinois where I recently moved, if your court date for minor traffic violation(sign violation) is changed by the court in excess of 60 days, than this is considered illegal and when you go to court the charges are dismissed. Is this also true in the state of Virginia? Thank you! Gordon

Sorry, but your info is incorrect, my sister is an attorney in Chicago and she says that if your regular scheduled court date is rescheduled(over 60 days) without your request, than the judge with the concurrence of the court atty will dismiss the "minor" citation.
