Rear ending accident in TN on a TX license

What is the name of your state? TN
Hi, I had rear ended another vehicle while in TN. I had a TX license when that happened. I also got a ticket for the same. Now, how long will that remain on my record? And does it vanish/get hidden if I change my license to one of a different state - eg: California? I have moved to CA now and would like to change the license if it would help me in this regard.

Thanks,

It won't go away till the folks above say it has gone away.

Switching states won't work: they're already on to that and don't allow it.

Google "States Drivers License Compact" and/or "Non Resident Violators Compact". You can run but you can't hide.

If you are in CA you are supposed to get a CA license. It is the law, not an option.
