reckless in PA

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? PA
Getting off the turnpike in PGH and this jerk was taligating me hard. I applied my brakes to let him know of my displeasure and I get pulled over. Officer proceeds to give me reckless driving ($280 fine), a criminal offense that may carry a suspension. I have a clean record and I am definetly going to court. Any advice for when I get there?

Seems there is an epidemic of moving violations in PA?

Sounds like you are not telling us the whole story as there must have been something that got the officer's attention. What you describe sounds like you deserved the ticket and that you have a potential for road rage. Do they have a traffic violators school in PA, that may be an option.

No traffic violator school in PA.....

Contrary to popular belief, "brake checking" someone who is tailgating you is not proper driving ettiquette, nor is it safe. If it was bothering you that much, you should have pulled over and let him go by you.

Reckless Driving is NOT a criminal offense, but it does carry a license suspension if you plead guilty or are convicted.
