north carolina: I appealed a red light photo ticket. my case was not heard in court nor was it heard by anyone representing the city or court. it was heard by a bipartison professor at our local university and i was found guilty. the photo was of a company vehicle and i don't think i was the one driving it. anyways, the professor found me guilty. is this legal?

Sounds bizarre to say the least. They cannot give you a ticket if you were NOT the driver.
