Reduce or beat speeding ticket 23 miles over speed zone

What is the name of your state? Georgia

Hello,

I've recently received a speeding ticket int Valdosta, GA doing 93 mph (according to the officer) in a 70 mph zone. I believe I was doing between 85 to 90 mph. Can anyone offer any advice on beating this ticket or a least getting it reduced for lower speed? I live in Stone Mountain, GA that is a least 2 and a half hour from Valdosta, if I don't SPEED to get there, so my time to represent my self in court in limited.

Thanks in advance,
Oneal

Advice based on personal experience

Speaking from past experience and a similar situation I paid a lawyer to represent me and had the charge reduced to improper equipment which was a non-moving violation which didn't cost me points. It was first speeding ticket and so the DA was ok with pleading it down. The only other option I know of is a driving school which might be offered in which you pay a fee to attend an all day class about driving and then once its over your ticket is tossed. I don't know if these types of classes are offered in your state or if this is a first time ticket.

I'm not a lawyer and so don't have any official recommendations for you.

Good luck.
