Unhappy

reduce a speed?

I live in Wyoming. I recently got a speeding ticket-47 in a 30. Anything over 15 mph is also considered careless driving, which makes me uninsurable to the trucking companies. I have been trying to get a CDL since 2003, with 2 other setbacks like this. I havent had a ticket in 2 yrs and have only a year to go. This makes me literally ill. Is there any possible plea bargain type option of getting my speed reduced to say 44mph? As a representitive for myself, who would I approach for this? My financial future is at stake and my sanity is in jeopardy over these 2 or 3 miles. Plz help!!! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

I suggest you slow down and follow the traffic laws if you want to get your CDL.

Speak to several traffic attorneys in your area. You could get representation cheaper than you think in my experience and court costs are not payable straight away.

Please tell me how my advice was inaccurate.
This man wants to obtain his CDL, but can't seem to control his speed...

Please tell me where in my post, either before or after the edit, I said anything that even remotely suggested that your "advice" was "inaccurate"?

Untimely? Yes!

Irrelavent to the question at hand? For sure!

Pointless & serves no purpose? Yes, yes!

Stating the obvious? Heck, even you admit that in your signature!

The only "value" that it adds is a value of "1" to your post count!

And hence my statement eluding to your "post count" before and after the edit!!!

Even your "get a bicycle" post in another thread had more value and served more benefit to the OP(although he did not think so) than your post here!!!

Since you "won't correct any gender mistakes", I made a few for you.

I'm sure HippieChick would appreciate it!

Ball is in your court

hippychick-

In Wyoming some courts allow a trial by declaration. The court where you are to appear should be able to tell you if this is the case and whether or not you can request a trial if the judge rules against you.

Wyoming police use pacing and radar to judge speed. Both methods may give inaccurate readings.
Google:Speeding Ticket--Fighting or Plea Bargaining to find out how this can occur as well as to become informed of a driver's rights and court procedures for traffic tickets.
Speeding Tickets FAQ and Wyoming Speeding Ticket will give you information that should help you make a decision on what to do as well as the information about lawyers in houevoc's post.

Best Regards,
Hey There
