Refusing a Traffic summons

What is the name of your state? NJ

Does anyone know if you refuse to take a traffic summons from a police officer what can the officer charge you with, if anything?

Thanks I knew that, but on what charge? I can't find a law in NJ that says you have to accept the summons.

If, for example, you get stopped for speeding and the officer tries to give you a summons for speeding and you refuse it, he will arrest you for speeding and carry you off to jail.
