New York state:
I deserved the seat belt ticket I received the other day, but the ticketing officer wrote the date of my registration's expiration incorrectly. (He wrote the month & date correctly but entered the current calendar year.)
Should I / am I entitled to have the ticket thrown out?
If I plead guilty and pay the fine, am I liable for an additional violation (since I'm signing to a report of an expired reg)?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
