remove bike helmet at traffic stop?

I was recently stopped in Tampa, Fl for speeding on my motorcycle. I presented proper I.D. (license, registration, insurance) but the officer did not ask me to remove my full face helmet. I did lift up my tinted visor though. Is this something I can use in court to fight this ticket?

Does Florida have a helmet law? My state does and it says anytime you are operating a motorcycle on public roadways, a helmet will be worn. The officer did not want to ask you to break the law. Besides, what are you going to tell the judge? "Someone else that was the same physical description as me was riding my motorcycle and had my I.D. so this ticket should be thrown out".
