What is the name of your state? Massachusetts

I just got a ticket for running a red light. However, I believe the cop wrote down the wrong law and it doesn't match my violation. He wrote "MGL Chapter 89, Section 9 (which is the law for running stop signs and flashing red light), F/c red light". I have 2 questions.

1) What does F/c stand for?
2) Can I argue this ticket based on technicality? I didn't run a stop sign, since there wasn't a stop sign.

Any insight is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
