new york and new jersey. i was told you cant get a ticket or you can beat it in court for not wearing a seat belt if you have an airbag. is this true? if true where can i get printed text that i can take to court,. thanks
Not true. Seat belts are primary safety devices, airbags secondary. Both states seat belt laws say all occupants of motor vehicles equipped with seat belts will where the seat belts. Neither statute even mentions airbags.
